So when a mother broke down discussing her son's disability, Kate was the first to offer her a hug.

At a reception for the charity Place2Be, which focuses on children's mental health, Kate befriended mom Ceri Knapton and her 13-year-old son Ethan, who has autism. As the young teen was telling Kate about his experiences, Ceri broke down.

In her inspirational speech at the gala, Kate called out the 'remarkable' work of the charity.
