Fantasy football start/sit: Devontae Booker is Broncos' workhorse

For all of those difficult decisions setting lineups in season-long leagues – or putting together the best roster in daily fantasy contests – Bruno Boys Fantasy Football presents our weekly collections of players to consider starting and sitting.

Devontae Booker is the clear No. 1 back in Denver, who's guaranteed a heavy workload, even though he's averaging just 3.7 yards per carry.

START

QB Sam Bradford, Minnesota Vikings (Thursday)

Bradford’s nine-game run with at least one touchdown pass ended in a loss to the Detroit Lions. Though he went 31-for-37, he was held to 224 passing yards and was intercepted. Look for him to get back on track against a Dallas Cowboys secondary torched for more than 400 passing yards in Week 12.

RB Devontae Booker, Denver Broncos

Booker (pictured) had 79 rushing yards on 24 carries in Sunday’s loss and remains the Broncos’ workhorse running back. While his average of 3.7 yards per carry isn’t impressive, he has averaged 22.8 touches per game since taking over as starter. He’s primed for a big game against a soft Jacksonville Jaguars front seven.

Fantasy sizzlers, fizzlers: Tyreek Hill runs wild

WR Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs

The rookie had a receiving touchdown, rushing TD and a kick-return TD in the Chiefs’ victory against the Denver Broncos. Hill has emerged as the Chiefs’ biggest threat since WR Jeremy Maclin was hurt. QB Alex Smith has targeted Hill 28 times over the last three games and he has caught 23.

WR Golden Tate, Detroit Lions

Tate has turned around his season over the last six games, totaling 40 receptions for 483 yards and two touchdowns in that time. He hauled in five receptions for 77 yards against a tough Minnesota Vikings secondary and should be able to dismantle a forgiving New Orleans Saints defense in Week 13.

TE Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals

Eifert has given the Bengals offense a boost since he returned from injury, averaging 4.2 receptions and 62.4 receiving yards over his last five games. He has scored two touchdowns in that time. The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled this season when facing teams that target their tight ends.

WR Marquess Wilson, Chicago Bears

Wilson, who had missed 10 weeks because of a foot injury, hauled in a team-high eight receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Tennessee Titans. He also had 11 targets in the game and looks to be QB Matt Barkley’s trusted option out wide.

WR Sammy Watkins, Buffalo Bills

Watkins returned from a foot injury that forced him to miss eight games and caught all three targets for 80 yards. Even if Watkins’ snaps remain limited in Week 13, QB Tyrod Taylor appears happy to get his top receiver back. They should produce against the Oakland Raiders’ 28th-ranked pass defense.

Fantasy football rankings: Week 13

QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers

Rivers burned a tough Houston Texans secondary for 242 yards and three touchdowns, giving him six touchdown passes over his last two games and two or more touchdowns in four consecutive games. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have allowed 20 passing touchdowns this season.

TE Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks

Graham has at least three receptions in 10 consecutive games. QB Russell Wilson has full trust in his sure-handed tight end. The Carolina Panthers are ranked 29th in passing defense and have allowed 21 passing touchdowns this season, eight of them to tight ends.

WR Brandon Marshall, New York Jets (Monday)

He had six receptions for 67 yards and his first touchdown since Week 5. It’s apparent that QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is making an effort to get Marshall more involved, and that’s a good thing heading into a game against the Indianapolis Colts’ 30th-ranked pass defense.

SIT

RB Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

Another week, another lackluster performance. Gurley was held to 50 yards rushing on 13 carries and added 39 yards on four receptions. Gurley has scored one touchdown over his last six games. Don’t expect him to break out against a stubborn New England Patriots defense that gives up 17.9 points per game.

QB Brock Osweiler, Houston Texans

After being picked off three times by the San Diego Chargers, the Texans quarterback has more interceptions (13) than touchdown passes (12). His accuracy has been bad all season and he has failed to make adjustments. Osweiler is a big risk even in the best of matchups.

Week 13 fantasy football studs, duds and sleepers: Don't sleep on Ryan Fitzpatrick

RB Jay Ajayi, Miami Dolphins

Ajayi failed to take advantage of a good matchup with the San Francisco 49ers as he rushed for 45 yards on 18 carries. The second-year running back could have trouble against the NFL’s top run defense. The Baltimore Ravens have contained big names like Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott and Jeremy Hill.

RB Rashad Jennings, New York Giants

Jennings continues to lead the Giants’ backfield in touches and has 61 over his last three games. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers rank ninth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed at 95.3 per game and have shut down opposing running backs in three of their last four games.

Washington Redskins tight ends

There isn’t a better tight end duo in the NFL. Jordan Reed gets all the pub, but Vernon Davis also has been really good. The two combined for 15 receptions, 163 yards and two touchdowns in Week 12. But this week’s matchup at the Arizona Cardinals is brutal, and there is no guarantee Reed (shoulder) will play.
