Even if the whole kicker thing doesn’t work out, the Buccaneers have at least one second-round pick from last year who is proving to be worth it.

Bucs defensive end Noah Spence was named NFL defensive rookie of the month for November.

Spence had 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Bucs, who have won three straight to salvage a season and give themselves a chance at the NFC South title.

He has 5.5 sacks and three forced fumbles for the season, and has helped the Bucs to a strong surge on defense. They’ve led the league in takeaways (10) in November, and are sixth in the league in scoring defense over the last month.

The 39th overall pick from Eastern Kentucky, he made their second round look solid even before they traded up to the 59th spot to take kicker Roberto Aguayo, who has had an up and down rookie season.
