As soon as the news of the slain soldiers reached Bollywood star Akshay Kumar he decided to help their families.
The actor managed to get the contact details of the 25-year-old Rifleman Prabhu Singh of Rajasthan, whose body was found mutilate, he spoke to his father an ex-army jawan himself, who is now paralyzed and after an emotional chat he transferred Rs 9 lakhs into his account.

Chandra Singh, father of Prabhu Singh confirmed this news to The Times of India, 'Akshayji had called and he transferred money in my account, he said I should use this for the education of his sisters and daughter. He extended more support if and when there is a need.'
Rifleman Prabhu Singh left behind his father, wife, three sisters and a six-month-old daughter. Speaking to The Times of India, Mr Amit Lodha, DIG - BSF Jaisalmer said he is touched by Akshay Kumar's gesture and said he is in constant touch with the actor who is keeping a tab and going all out to help jawans and their families.
