Transfer Rater: Marcos Rojo to Leverkusen, Mikel to Valencia

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest rumours ...

Callum Wilson to West Ham

The Guardian claim West Ham are to test Bournemouth by offering £25 million for Wilson. The Hammers are in desperate need of a goal threat and currently sit just a point clear of the relegation zone, having scored just 14 goals in 13 matches. Slaven Bilic is a long-term admirer of the forward and had a £15m bid rejected in July. Both Newcastle United and Spurs have also shown an interest in the 24-year-old.

Marcos Rojo to Bayer Leverkusen

Manchester United defender Rojo is a target for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, according to various news outlets. The Argentine joined United in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon for £16m but has yet to cement his place in the first team. The versatile defender almost joined Monaco in the summer but a move couldn't be agreed. With Rojo's future uncertain, Bayer Leverkusen hope to complete another shrewd signing, following in the footsteps of former Old Trafford favourite Javier Hernandez.

John Obi Mikel to Valencia

AllNigeriaSoccer.com report Valencia are set to reignite their interest in unwanted Chelsea midfielder Mikel. They were priced out of a move in the summer but with the Nigerian's deal running out in July 2017, the overall package to bring him to Spain would now be cheaper. It is believed Chelsea would accept as little as £5m for the midfielder.

Jonathan Cafu to Everton

Everton are being linked with Ludogorets' Cafu. The £10m-rated winger has been attracting interest from Leicester City but it's Everton who have jumped to the front of the queue with Ronald Koeman looking to bulk up their attack.

Joe Worrall to Stoke City

The Daily Mirror have linked Stoke with a move for Nottingham Forest defender Worrall. The 19-year-old has impressed for Philippe Montanier's side and his form has caught the eye of both Stoke and Everton. The report suggests Stoke will make a move in January to take advantage of the fact the defender's contract expires in the summer.
