New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Gram and kabli gram prices plunged by up to Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale market today on fall in demand from retailers against ample stocks position.
Urad and moth also ended lower on sluggish demand.
Traders said fall in demand from retailers at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position on increased supplies mainly pulled down gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram dropped to Rs 9,500-9,800 from previous level of Rs 10,000-10,200 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 500 each to Rs 10,300-10,600 and Rs 10,700-10,800 per quintal, respectively.
Kabli gram small variety followed suit and slipped to Rs 9,500-10,000 from previous level of Rs 9,800-10,200 per quintal.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted lower at Rs 4,400 each instead of Rs 4,500 each per 35 kg bag.
Urad and its dal chilka moved down by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,700-7,700 and Rs 7,000-7,100 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya enquired lower by the same margin to Rs 7,100-7,600 and Rs 7,500-7,800 per quintal.
In line with overall trend, moth lost Rs 200 at Rs 3600-4000 per quintal.
Following are today’s pulses rates (in Rs per quintal): Urad Rs 6,700-7,700, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 7,000-7,100, Urad best Rs 7,100-7,600, Dhoya Rs 7,500-7,800, Moong Rs 5,100-5,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,600-5,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,200-6,700 and best quality Rs 6,700-6,900.
Masoor small Rs 5,100-5,300, bold Rs 5,200-5,350, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,600-6,100, best quality Rs 5,700-6,200, Malka local Rs 6,300-6,500, best Rs 6,400-6,600, Moth Rs 3,600-4,000, Arhar Rs 6,050, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,900-9,700.
