RAIPUR: Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University in Raipur is all set to make the whole process from admissions to results completely digital. With this step according to university officials RSU will become the first state university to go fully digital.
Now Pt. RSU administration will connect with the students through digital mode. Students will be verified by the university from their email IDs and password which will create a unicode for their recognition.
This Unicode will help the students for their admissions, enrollment, admit cards, time table and results. At present RSU have an SMS facility through which it provides information and results to the students.
RSU Registrar Dharmesh Kumar Sahu told TOI that "We are coordinating with National informatics centre (NIC). Initial work on the project can start from January and hopefully in this exam year itself the process would be digital."
Sahu said "students are internet savvy now a days, so we want to share all the information with them on a single click. For that, we will create individual log-in Ids and passwords through which Students can access their whole performance"
RSU officials say that the university have around three lakh students across the state. These students fall in different categories such as those who have passed, those with supplementary and students with a year gap and so on. After digitalization, students will not have to fill the form every year as all the basic records would be stored in RSU software. Students will have to fill only subject and year in required form of that particular year.
