IT officials, cops beaten up during raid on builder

JABALPUR: Two tax inspectors and a cop were injured when they were attacked during a raid on a builder here on Wednesday. Builder Satyam Jain and seven others have been booked for assault.
Assistant commissioner, IT, Alok Bhura said, "I and three officials were conducting a survey at the office of Ojasvi Imperial builders on Bandaria square. Around 5pm, builder Satyam Jain came with 7-8 henchmen and started abusing us.On the builder's orders, his henchmen attacked us with sticks."
Gorakhpur IC Bhanu Pratap said, "IT inspectors Ajay Kumar and Dhananjay Kumar are injured. Based on their complaint, a case has been registered against Satyam Jain and accomplices. Investigation is on." IT joint commissioner Ram Tiwari said, "The IT department's crackdown will continue. We will not be scared by such incidents." TNN
