Inter-Division Judo Competition gets underway

JAMMU, Nov 30: Inter Division State Level Competition in the Discipline of Judo Under-17 Boys and Girls got underway at M.A. Stadium, here today.
In all, 32 boys and girls from twin divisions of the State are taking part in two days competition. The objective of these competitions is to select the Judo players in the age group of Under-17 years for Boys and Girls for 62nd National School Games being held in the State of Telengana from December 8 to December 14.
The players selected for National School Games include Vipul Verma, Romil Razdan, Aareen Kotwal, Shivam Sharma, Ketan Arora, Ayush Pandita, Paramver Singh, Hamid Javid in Boys Section and Aarti Devi, Bindiya Mahajan, Vanshika Manhas, Mehroonisa Javid, Amrita Roshan, Irham Khaliq, Anshika Manhas and Anmol Sharma in Girls Section.
Meanwhile, the Department is organizing six days Coaching Camp from December 6 for the selected probables with the objective to have better co-ordination of skill during the National School Games.
The competitions were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
Earlier, the competitions were declared open as the chief guest by Aditi Sharma, Sr. BJP Leader and National President of Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust.
The matches were officiated by the Varinder Sharma , Raman Sharma, Rajeev Sharma and Kajal Premi.
