Wiretap victim on modified duty for allegedly threatening assistant DA

The NYPD detective who authorities say was the target of a yearlong cellphone wiretap illegally executed by an apparently jealous Brooklyn prosecutor was taking it all in stride Wednesday as he left his Long Island home for work.

Detective Jarrett Lemieux politely declined to comment as he walked out of his Garden City home at around 9:30 a.m.

His wife, who left minutes before him, also declined to comment.

The cop has been on modified duty for allegedly threatening former Brooklyn DA deputy bureau chief Tara Lenich, who has been accused of wiretapping his and fellow prosecutor Stephanie Rosenfeld-Vais’ phones, sources have said.

Lenich is accused of forging the signatures of several judges to get the wiretaps, according to the sources.

The judges include Danny Chun, Neil Firetog and John Ingram, the sources said.

The judges declined to comment.

Lenich, who is single, believed that she had a relationship with Lemieux beyond working with him on several criminal cases and that he had dumped her, sources said. She further believed that the detective and Rosenfeld-Vais, who is also married, had become romantically linked, said sources.

Rosenfeld-Vais’ lawyer declined to comment.
