Remember all the talk about whether Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant would hug, shake hands or say anything to each other before their first game as opponents this season? That ended up being a waste of a discussion -- they didn't interact at all.

The same was not true when former Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks visited Chesapeake Energy Arena as the coach of the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. As Westbrook took the court, he trotted right up to Brooks, hugged him and had a quick chat.

Awww! How nice. Brooks took some criticism while he was in Oklahoma City, but Westbrook might be his biggest success story -- where other coaches might have been frustrated with his decision-making and inefficiency as a young player, Brooks let him learn from his mistakes and grow into the future Hall of Famer he is today.

"Scotty's my guy," Westbrook said Tuesday, via ESPN's Royce Young. "He gave me a real shot to be able to do some of the things [I do] and make mistakes and he always had my back in that situation. Especially when I first got here. He was always the one who had my back through those times, and he's obviously a good coach as well."
