PANCHKULA: A training camp for making Panchkula a cashless district was organized by bankers in mini secretariat on Wednesday.
Officials of Panchkula administration informed that all officers including Deputy Commissioner Garima Mittal took part in the camp where bankers trained all the officers and employees to use mobile application of their particular bank to pay their regular bills, recharges and many other payments through their banks so that no need of carrying money will be required.
DC said that the training will help people do most of their payments with ease and quickly.
DC asked all officers and employees to spread awareness among friends, relatives and colleagues to use mobile banking facility and help others in learning the process which in turn will help the city go cashless. Representatives of various banks informed officers that this training programme would be organized on a daily basis and those who have any query can participate again. tnn
DC Mittal said, "Our aim is to make everybody in the district use mobile banking. Government is opening bank accounts in rural areas so a lot more people could be included in the mission." Along with this, volunteers, gram sachiv, patwari, school teacher, anganwadi workers were also imparted training in the camp.
