MYSURU: Members of Karnataka Rajya
Hindulida Vargagala Jagruthi Vedike, District
Kumbara Sanga and other backward welfare associations on Wednesday criticized
MP Pratap
Simha for the harsh statements he made on MP H
Vishwanath a few days ago.
Addressing media persons, CT Acharya, president of District Vishwakarma Maha Mandali, said, “During his tenure as a minister, Vishwanath had introduced many welfare programmes including midday meals and Yeshasvini health insurance scheme.
What is the contribution of Simha as an MP in the past two years? Such loose statements will not damage Vishwanath’s image. If he continues this attitude, he will face its consequences.”
P Raju, dalit leader, who also spoke on the occasion, called upon Simha to take up various welfare programmes, instead of wasting time raising allegations against senior leaders like Vishwanath. “Even after two years as an MP, Simha has not visited many places in his constituency,” added P Raju.
President of District Kumbarara Sangha H S Prakash and KS Shivaram, president of Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruthi Vedike, were present.
