NEW DELHI: Two men on a bike opened fire at a gym owner in north Delhi's Shastri Nagar, when he refused to reverse his car to let their motorbike pass on Tuesday afternoon.
A CCTV footage of the incident recovered from the area, showed the accused, who were wearing helmets, firing at the car. The gym owner said that he was saved as the bullet hit his car's bonnet. A case has been registered against the accused.
According to police, when the gym owner was returning home from work at 4pm, his i20 car got stuck between a van and two motorbikes and it was difficult for him to re verse and allow the bikers to pass.
He requested them to wait till the van moved.
However, the men on one of the bikes got agitated and started abusing the gym owner. When he protested, the accused pushed their bike through the crowd and pulled up near the car. They then took out a pistol, fired at the victim and fled.
