Man climbs skyscraper without a harness
    2016-12-01  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A FRENCH “Spiderman” climbed one of Barcelona’s tallest skyscrapers without a harness.

Alain Robert took an hour to climb and then descend the Torre Agbar, a glass-covered office building known for its nighttime illuminations.

The 54-year-old commented on his progress as he climbed the 450-foot (137-meter) building with a sports camera attached to his head. He said, “It is quite entertaining seeing a guy climbing a building. Might not be my most difficult one but that doesn’t matter.”

The urban climber, famous for his daredevil, harness-free approach, even found time to point out the local landmarks, including the city’s most famous church.

He said, “At the backside we can see the Sagrada Familia, on that side we see the twin towers. Barcelona is a very nice, interesting and beautiful city.”

Robert climbs buildings with nothing more than some chalk on his hands and climbing shoes on his feet.

He has conquered over 100 structures worldwide including San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa complex.(SD-Agencies)
