FORMER AAP leader Sucha Singh Chhotepur, who floated his own outfit Aapna Punjab Party (APP), on Wednesday announced its second list of 15 candidates including a woman.
A former excise and taxation officer, a lawyer, a doctor and a social worker are among those given party tickets. While announcing the candidates Chhotepur claimed all in the second list “bear a good moral character and have a clean public image in addition to an urge to serve the Punjabi populace with honesty, integrity and transparency.”

Balkaur Singh Gill (66), a former excise and taxation officer from Ludhiana, who is known for having donned Punjabi attire during service, has been fielded from Ludhiana (West).
Col Ashok Dogra (58) is APP’s nominee from Pathankot, is an MBA, Surjit Singh Randhawa (62) from Garhshankar, K L Rao Kaindowal (51) from Chabbewal, Adv Jatinder Rai Khatta(68) from Bathinda Urban, Sukhpreet Singh (30) from Gill constituency in Ludhiana is amongst the youngest candidates.
Other candidates include Capt Rampal Singh Bija (44) from Payal in Ludhiana, Dalip Singh (59) from Jandiala Narinder Walia (54 ) from Amritsar (East), Gurmail Singh Kaler (46) from Nakodar Harshdeep Singh (31) from Shahkot, Col Varinder Sharma (68) from Urmar, Gurjit Singh Fauji (48) from Mehal Kalan, Sukhdev Vartia (35) from Shutrana and Parminder Kaur (49) from Chamkaur Sahib who has won accolades for her services towards the economically weaker sections of the society, women issues and cultural fields.
