Terrelle Pryor: Cleveland Browns WR says he 'could be so much better'

Terrelle Pryor is in his first year as a wide receiver. His 855 receiving yards are nearly 400 more than tight end Gary Barnidge (486), who is second on the Cleveland Browns.

"I could be so much better," Pryor said. "It's not even funny. Some plays that I've missed or some plays that I could've made off of that inexperience I would say, my numbers, I may be over 1,000 already, way beyond."

Pryor leads the Browns with four touchdown catches.

-- Offensive line coach Hal Hunter, Jr. says one reason center Cameron Erving has struggled is he's much taller than most of the defensive linemen he faces.

"It's always going to be a challenge is to get him to play with the type of pad level that he needs to against a lot of 340 pound nose tackles that are 6-foot-2 playing at 6-feet". He is 6-foot-5, so he's learning to play with better pad level and he has been playing with better pad level."

Erving, in his second season, replaced Alex Mack, who started for the Browns from 2009-15.

-- The Browns are averaging six yards a punt return. Running back Duke Johnson has gotten the bulk of the work with 17 returns for 112 yards. His longest return is 18 yards.

Rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman could become the punt returner when the Browns return from their bye to play the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 11. He returned 25 kicks - not punts - for 651 yards while at Baylor.

"I still take reps back there," Coleman said. "I can be back there anytime. We are just playing it by ear. I take a lot of snaps on offense. "

Coleman participated in 88 percent (66) of the offensive snaps in the game with the Giants on Sunday.
