Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins gave an update on the band's new album in a recent interview with NME. He revealed that the band has not started writing their new album yet.
"We're still in a hunker down period right now," Hawkins revealed. "We know we have those shows next year, and we did a charity event for Dave's kid's school a couple of weeks ago that got a little bit of press. We're fine, we love each other we're all good. We're just figuring out when the world's ready for more Foo Fighters."
Hawkins did assure fans that, "we will make a new record at some point. We won't really be ready until Dave's ready to go."
Frontman Dave Grohl is reportedly working on a solo album and Hawkins recently released his mini LP KOTA. The Foo Fighters released their Saint Cecelia EP back in November 2015, but their last studio effort was Sonic Highways back in 2014.
