Dense fog and rain in some parts of the D.C. region created dangerous driving conditions for Wednesday morning’s commute, authorities said. And there were several traffic incidents that were causing delays on area roadways.

A crash on the Beltway at Rockville Pike has some lanes blocked, transportation officials said.

Also in Maryland, there was a crash that had blocked some lanes along the outer loop of the Beltway near the Interstate 270 exit in Rockville.

In Virginia, there was a crash where at least one person was hurt along Interstate 66 east near the Pentagon exits in Arlington. And traffic was slow along the Beltway in the Fairfax area as well.

And in the District, there was a report of a car that had spun out along Canal Road near Foxhall Road that is likely to cause delays.

Forecasters said the rain will hit both the morning and evening commutes and temperatures will remain relatively warm.

D.C.-area forecast: Warm today with rain likely early and late
