THRISSUR: Dalit activist T S Anilkumar, who is under treatment at a hospital at Kodungallur, alleged that the police was harassing him in the name of Maoist connection.
The police suspect that he was one of the Maoists who was injured in the Nilambur encounter.
However, Anilkumar denied any links with the ultras. Calling himself an Ambedkerist, he said he has been working for the dalits.
He was at Kallambalam in Thiruvananthapuram visiting dalit colonies there on November 25 when the police gunned down the extremists.
He said had fallen down during the colony visit, following which he sought treatment.
Anilkumar said he would take the legal route if the police continued to harass him. The activist said he was earlier admitted to the hospital on November 9. The hospital sources too confirmed that he was admitted to the hospital with a fracture on November 9 and discharged on November 11. He was again admitted on November 26.
