MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Danilo Garcia Di Meo is a photographer, who has snapped Renis' image and made people all around the world empathize with her. Di Meo's picture shows both weakness and strength of a disabled person that demonstrates her will to life through her unforgettable smile
Letizia's smile has already been presented at the exhibition dubbed "Letizia, A Story of an Invisible Life" held in Russia. But its is the first time, the young woman can smile in Russia on her own. Renis arrived in Moscow by invitation Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
"Danilo's photos have opened my eyes. From the very beginning, I have seen a beautiful woman, who has an inimitable power. I thought that it was unfair that the residents of Moscow were able to see these amazing photos, but Letizia had no chance to see Moscow. I have decided to invite her to our capital and the first question I have asked her during our meeting, was: 'You can flight? My wish has fulfilled, Letizia arrived to us!'" Zakharova said during the press conference in the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
The Russian official added that Letizia's smile did not see any borders and gave everyone an example to value every moment of our lives.
Speaking at the press conference, Di Meo added that the relationship between him and his muse had bloomed at a true friendship. Now Letizia often invites the artist to have supper together and he continues to take her photographs.
The photographer said that there were no people, who can not be touched by Letizia's story. "It is a story of an ordinary person. She faces difficulties, but she would never give up!"
According to Di Meo, this is the first time, both Letizia and her father have left Italy and visit a foreign country and this situation inspires him to create a new picture series about the journeys of the Renis family.
