Studio 4°C Makes Sentai Heroes Sukiyaki Force TV Anime Shorts

Studio 4°C announced on Tuesday that it is collaborating with Gunma TV to produce a television anime titled Sentai Heroes Sukiyaki Force - Gunma no Heiwa o Negau Season (The Season of Wishing for Gunma's Peace). The anime will premiere on Gunma TV on January 9 and will air one five-minute episode every weekday on 6:35 p.m.
The anime will be a "surreal comedy" that emphasizes Gunma Prefecture's self-sufficiency in ingredients for sukiyaki. The story centers around the titular Sukiyaki Force, created by Professor Warishita, who fight against the forces of Kiraida, who have come to Gunma and threaten to destroy the world.
The cast includes:
- Shōhei Abe as Wagyu, Shiitake
- Tomu Miyazaki as Tofu, Professor Warishita
- Sugatsu Kanayama as Negi
- Sachiko Sasaki as Shungiku
- Shūko Nemoto as Shirataki
- Yūsuke Satō as Hakusai
- Gappai as Choux Cream
Akiko Saito is directing the anime, and is also the animation director and director of photography. Gunma native Masato Hori is penning the anime's scripts, and is also credited as the dialogue director. Shōjirō Nishimi is the original character designer, while Kanako Takeuchi is sserving as the animation character designer and a key animator. Takahiro Tanaka is in charge of storyboards and layouts. Wakako Takahashi is in charge of coloring. Akihiro Nakajima is in charge of both music and sound direction.
