KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Ahmad Zaki, Litrak, MyEG, Benalec to see positive trading interest on Wednesday after the companies’ higher on-year quarterly net profit.

However, Panasonic, Lafarge, DRB-Hicom, UMW, Supermax, Karex, Mudajaya, Power Root, Dutch Lady and Media Prima reported a decline in their quarterly results on-year.

As for Kimlun, JF Apex Research pointed out the group bagged a RM52.8mil contract to supply and deliver precast concrete tunnel segment linings to the Mass Rapid Transit Line 2 (MRT2) project.

Censof will develop and implement the Fatca Automatic Exchange of Information Solution for the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB).

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets closed higher, led by property and healthcare counters following a higher revised 3Q GDP and lower oil prices before the OPEC meeting in Vienna  on Wednesday. 

Earlier, European stocks ended mixed due to lower oil prices and political uncertainty in Italy.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI closed down 1.73 points to 1,626.93. 

“Following the mixed performance in the US and Europe, the KLCI could remain sideways above the support of 1610 points due to lack of domestic catalyst,” said JF Apex Research.
