Karnataka BJP cancels NIMHANS protest against Ramya
Not willing to divulge the reason for their sudden U-turn, BJP chose only to state that the protest had been cancelled.
After making a grand announcement that they would protest against actor turned politician Ramya, the state BJP has now cancelled its plans. The BJP, however, refused to divulge the exact reasons behind their sudden U-turn.
Calling it a unique protest, BJP Karnataka was all set to protest against former Congress MP and Cine Actress Ramya, outside NIMHANS in Bengaluru. The slum board of the BJP planned to protest outside the reputed institute for mental health on Wednesday. With no apparent reason, the protest was called off later.
The BJP had accused the former MP of making baseless allegations against the party. Calling Ramya's criticism of demonetisation irresponsible, the BJP had decided to protest against her.
Ramya had recently said that the BJP leaders were in the know of demonetisation much before it was announced and had put the information to good use. To register their opposition to her statements and criticism of the Modi government since demonetisation move was announced, the BJP had decided to protest.
