UP govt to help cancer stricken man after daughter tweets to PM and CM

AGRA: A day after TOI reported the plight of 25-year-old girl, Juhi Prakash, whose father is suffering from oral cancer; the UP government swiftly moved to take action and directed Agra administration to assess the financial assistance required by the family.
Juhi had on Monday tweeted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav for help, saying she cannot stand in serpentine bank queues for withdrawing money, leaving her cancer-stricken dad alone in home.

Talking to TOI Juhi said she received a call from CM office this morning informing her to meet the Tehsildar with all the relevant documents.
She said she also received a call from the DM office and met the Tehsildar.
When contacted, Tehsildar, Sadar Vishveshwar Singh, said he had verified the documents and recommended to the DM an assistance of Rs 6.5 lakhs for treatment of Juhi's father at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research centre, Delhi.
DM, Guarav Dayal, said he too had recommended Juhi's father case for assistance to CM. He said he was hopeful that the assistance sought by Juhi would be released soon.
