Wild West, a leading south west PR and communications agency, has opened a new office in Bristol.

The opening represents an exciting new chapter for the award-winning agency, which currently operates from Truro, with sister company, Wild Card, in London, as it extends its reach eastwards.

Wild West has seen incredible success this year, having become a standalone business in January 2016. Originally known as Wild Card Truro, it was founded in 2008 by Kate Wild, who wanted to invest talent into her west country home of Cornwall.

The agency’s divisional director, Georgie Upton, oversees a team of ten that deliver PR and communications campaigns across three main sectors: Travel, Food & Drink and Lifestyle. The agency represents some of the best-known names in the south west and beyond, including Falmouth University, Rodda’s Clotted Cream, Eden Project, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, Watergate Bay Hotel, Bristol Harbour Hotel, Devon-based Forthglade, Melton Mowbray’s British Pie Awards, pesto pioneers Sacla’ and Berkshire’s Copas Turkeys.

Georgie Upton comments: “This Bristol investment is testament to the incredible work produced by the team here in Truro. We’ve had a storming year, working with dynamic brands, spanning digital, events, media relations and issues management. Alongside our sister company in London, Bristol is the perfect location to build on our current client-base – providing a national platform for exciting businesses.”

Senior account director, Laura Tomlinson, has been brought on board to lead the new Bristol offering. Laura has worked in agency PR and communications for over a decade, and brings with her a wealth of multi-sector experience, from food and lifestyle through to education and environmental PR.

Laura comments: “Wild West’s expertise is in taking local brands and organisations to a national stage. Bristol does things its own way, and as such, is home to a whole host of fantastic, trailblazing businesses, so it makes sense for Wild West to look to this city next.

“Having lived and worked here for over a decade, I see myself as an honorary Bristolian. I couldn’t be happier to be setting out on this new venture with Wild West.”

Wild West offers fully integrated public relations campaigns including strategic consultation, reputation management and social media – with storytelling sitting at its heart.
