Szijjártó discusses investment with Tajik counterpart

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó discussed investment possibilities with his counterpart from Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov at a meeting in Budapest Monday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

Szijjártó said an agreement on mutual protection of investments had been finalized, while Magyar Eximbank has opened a USD 36 million credit line to support partnerships between businesses in Hungary and Tajikistan. 

Aslov said his country and Hungary are committed to forming closer ties and finding new areas for cooperation, such as in energy, environmental protection, public transport, logistics, the chemicals industry, farming, healthcare, culture and education.
