Bus carrying medical students of Kerala hits stationary truck, 2 dead

In a ghastly road accident, a driver and cleaner of a private bus were killed while 20 other passengers suffered injuries when the bus hit a lorry in Mehboobnagar district of Telangana.

The bus carrying students of Kerala's Al Shifa Pharmaceutical College, Malappuram, hit stationary heavy vehicle on the highway at Macharam in Jadcharla mandal some 85 km away from Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.

The bus which had left Kerala on Monday evening was carrying 28 students along with three tutors and was coming to Hyderabad on a study tour.

Initial investigation suggests that the bus driver lost his control when he tried to save an old woman on the road and hit a stationery container truck.

The injured students have been shifted to the local hospital and all of them are reported out of danger.
