New York Yankees release RHPs Nathan Eovaldi, Joe Mantiply, LHP Nick Rumbelow

The New York Yankees released right-handed pitchers Nathan Eovaldi and Joe Mantiply and left-hander Nick Rumbelow on Monday.

Eovaldi, 26, was 23-11 with a 4.45 ERA and 218 strikeouts in 51 games (49 starts) over two seasons with New York. In 2016, Eovaldi posted a 9-8 record with a 4.76 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 24 appearances (21 starts).

He was acquired by the Yankees in a Dec. 19, 2014 trade with the Miami Marlins. Eovaldi was traded along with minor leaguer Domingo German and Garrett Jones for David Phelps, Martin Prado and cash.

Mantiply, 25, was claimed off waivers by the Yankees on Nov. 8. He made five appearances with the Detroit Tigers in 2016, going 0-0 with a 16.88 ERA over 2 2/3 innings.

Rumbelow, 25, made 17 appearances for the Yankees in 2016, going 1-1 with a 4.02 ERA in 15 2/3 innings. He was New York's seventh-round draft pick in 2013.
