Ambala, November 28
Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today inaugurated a two-day cultural meet, ‘Goonj’, being organised by the Cantonment Board here.
Over 950 students of all Cantonment Board schools under the Western Command are participating in the meet.
Addressing children on the occasion, the Governor said, “Cultural activities not only help in personality development of participants but also unite the society.”
Solanki said, “The Cantonment Board schools have been doing a commendable work by providing quality education to the children of our soldiers who have been protecting our borders.”
Brig Vijay Sehgal, President, Ambala Cantonment Board, said the board had been running seven schools, including a school for children with special needs, besides several centres, including a skill development centre and computer centre. — TNS
