NEW DELHI: A south Delhi businessman and his sister-in-law were beaten up by a youth near Katwaria Sarai, south Delhi, on Sunday night.
The police said the incident occurred around 11pm. The businessman, who lives in
Khirki Extension, had gone to attend a wedding.
The police said a youth rammed his Dzire into the businessman’s car and accused him of parking inappropriately.
This led to an argument between the
two and the youth took out a screwdriver and hit the businessman on the head. When the businessman’s sister-in-law tried to intervene, he hit her too.
The businessman’s family members intervened and they thrashed the youth.
The businessman and his sister-in-law were taken to a hospital. The man received 10 stitches and the woman, eight. The police have recorded their statements and a case of causing hurt has been registered at Vasant Vihar police station.
The businessman’s family members have told the police that the accused abused them when they tried to intervene.
