PSI Transcom GmbH has announced that it will also offer its successful product PSItraffic/DMS (Depot Management System) on the North American market. With real-time dispatching and Open Data for Operation, PSItraffic/DMS provides greater efficiency and transparency for transport companies in the USA and Canada.
The North America strategy builds on the experience of many successful PSItraffic/DMS installations at transport companies in Europe, for example, in Hamburg for Hochbahn, in Düsseldorf for Rheinbahn and in Poland for MPK in Poznan.
With Open Data for Operation, PSItraffic/DMS makes the operational processes for all areas of the transport company transparent and accessible. Where are the vehicles, are they operational, are the drivers already at the depot and are they departing on time? PSItraffic/DMS integrates this information and makes it available intelligently. If disruptions occur, for example, because a vehicle in the garage is not finished on time or a driver arrives late at the depot, PSItraffic/DMS Disposition feature immediately finds a solution in real-time and makes smooth operation possible.
The modular design of the software creates the foundation for a multi-stage system introduction and future extensibility. Vehicle tracking, Open Data for Operation and Disposition in real-time are proven modules and are used flexibly.
If there are multiple depots or different vehicle types, buses, tram or paratransit, PSItraffic creates a large data base, enabling dispatchers to work efficiently.
The Reporting module provides intelligent data analysis and creates the basis for targeted improvements to operational processes. PSItraffic provides an interface for companies to customize their own reporting.
