An 80-year-old man is to stand trial accused of attacking a woman in a Dundee shopping centre.

Thomas Black is alleged to have assaulted the woman at the Wellgate Centre on 16 September.

Prosecutors allege he kicked the woman on the body, repeatedly seized her by the neck, and compressed her airway.

Mr Black, of Dundee, denied two charges at the city's sheriff court. A trial date was set in February.

The second charge alleges he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, and uttering threats of violence.
