The 21st edition of
IFFK will showcase a special section as tribute to director
K S Sethumadhavan and English director Ken Loach. Nine films of
Ken Loach will be screened at IFFK-2016.
Fatherland, Hidden agenda, Riff-raff, Land and freedom, Looking for
Eric are some of the Loach's movies which will be screened. Kes which was chosen by British film institute as the seventh best film of the last century will also be screened.
Ken
Loach was known for infusing his socialist ideals in the treatment of various themes like poverty in his films.
Sethumadhavan's Anubhavangal palichakal, Achanum Bappayum, Punarjanmam, Adimakal, Marupakkam will be screened at IFFK.
Anupam Kher's film to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival
