While the team is rigorously shooting for the film, debutant director Gautham Ramachandran has some interesting things to say about Nivin Pauly.

Speaking about the film, Gautham said, "Working with Nivin has been nothing short of a dream. The entire unit was in love with him. Throughout the shoot, he was so accommodating, involving and extremely friendly."

Premam was a sensational hit when it released. The film crossed borders and also been remade in Telugu with the same name.

Recalling an incident while shooting with Nivin, he said, "When we were shooting in Thoothukudi, Nivin was mobbed by hundreds of fans. We had to seek police protection to continue shooting. I understand if a similar incident happened in Chennai, but I was shocked to see he had such a fan following in a small town."

Earlier, reports suggested that the makers are planning to use the yesteryear hit film's title Avargal. However, Gautham denied it.

"We did consider the title Avargal, but since it's already out we might not use it. We are planning to come up with something new and easily relatable," he said.

The upcoming film, which is the Tamil remake of Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe, also stars Natarajan Subramaniam, Shraddha Srinath and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli.
