Speaking about Arvind Swami's role, Ram Charan was quoted by The Times Of India as saying, "He set the benchmark so high with his performance as Siddharth Abhimanyu (in Thani Oruvan) that, we couldn't think of any other actor to play the role. That is why we decided to cast Arvind and even retain the name of his character."

The makers of the film have released the theatrical trailer of the film on Friday (November 26), which has registered a new record in the industry. The trailer reportedly has clocked more than 2 million views within 21 hours.

Directed by National Award-winning director Surender Reddy, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh playing the leading lady in the film.

For the Telugu version, the makers have retained Arvind Swami after his stellar performance as the antagonist Siddharth Abhimanyu in Tamil.

Produced by NV Prasad, the film has music by Hiphop Tamizha, who composed soundtracks for the Tamil film.
