BHOPAL: There seems no end of controversies in the National Wushu Championship being organised at BHEL sports complex. In yet another controversy on Saturday, hosts team Madhya Pradesh filed a police complaint alleging 'wrong judgment' and 'favouring select teams.' This was the fourth day of the tournament which has witnessed regular controversies from very first day.
A player from host team in her complaint to Govindpura police charged the judges deliberately declaring her looser in a bout despite she scored more points.
Police said went to the spot after receiving the complaint. The players were demanding to see the result sheet. "Organisers told us that they can't show it to players. Players also alleged that the judging panel was from judo sports and they has no experience to officiate Wushu event. Later, the issue was pacified after our intervention," said a police officer.
Sources said a player from MP has also filed complaint against an official for misbehaving with her. "He forcefully sent her out of the bout arena. He should have not held her hand like this," said a player without quoting her name. However, official rubbished the allegations.
