Constable held for ASI's murder

Rohtak: Manoj Kumar, a constable, was arrested today on charge of murdering Assistant Sub Inspector Jai Kishan, who was found dead at the police 'malkhana' on Hisar road on September 5. He has been sent in judicial custody by a court. The police interrogated Manoj after the special medical board, constituted to ascertain the cause of Jai Kishan's death, maintained he suffered injuries prior to his death. During the interrogation, constable Manoj Kumar admitted he physically assaulted Jai Kishan following a quarrel. Manoj said he fled the spot after ASI Jai Kishan came unconscious. TNS
