A Brant County family is issuing a reward for information that will help them find the dogs that killed Penelope, their pet potbellied pig.

Henry Van de Kuyt tells CTV News that the pig was in the family’s backyard near Onondaga, southeast of Brantford, when it was killed Tuesday morning by three dogs.

It’s not clear where the dogs came from or who they belong to. Van de Kuyt says he’s not sure of their exact breed.

His family is offering $2,000 to anyone who can get them information that helps them identify the owner of the dogs.

County bylaw officers are investigating the attack as well.
