Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jyani has expressed gratitude to the Centre for its decision of setting up two Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in the border districts of Fazilka and Gurdaspur.

Jyani said the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister yesterday had decided to open two vidayalays in the state.

Jyani alleged that the state was ignored during the Congress-led UPA government, adding that it had benefitted maximum after the BJP-led NDA government came to power two-and-a-half years ago.
