MP Sharma, Conservator of Forest (North circle), Haryana, suspended a forester for dereliction of duty.

The order issued by Sharma on November 22 reads, “Om Prakash, a forester posted in the Chhachhrauli range of Yamunanagar district, has been suspended for dereliction of duty with immediate effect.”

Sources said a team of senior officers of the Forest Department comprising Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest of the Centre, Chief Conservator of Forest (protection-1), Haryana, and Conservator of Forest (North circle), Haryana, had come to Yamunanagar district to inspect some project related to the department on November 18.

The team members had stayed at the PWD rest house, Chhachhrauli, that night. It was alleged the team members found forester’s negligence in performing duty and the Conservator of Forest (North circle) suspended him. —TNS
