BU announces results of PGDBA courses
Bangalore University on Friday announced online the results of all seven branches of its Post-Graduate Diploma courses in Business Administration. The announcment comes a day after TOI reported the delay in these columns ‘(‘BU delays results for four months’).
The exams for these programmes were held in July. The results were delayed because the candidate list, which comprises a decoded version of students’ names, their register numbers, colleges and marks obtained, was missing.
In all, 95 students had written the exams.
When TOI contacted the university, officials said, "A meeting was conducted immediately with the custodian and head of the department and the results were announced on the Bangalore University website."
Over the past few months, students of the Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration repeatedly knocked on the doors of the varsity’s Pareeksha Bhawan in vain to understand what had gone awry with the results. According to university officials, papers of all candidates had been evaluated and submitted to Pareeksha Bhawan but due to the absence of the candidate list, the results could not be prepared.
Most students were waiting to apply to various universities in the US. The university generally does not host online the results for courses with less than 250 students but an exemption was made in this case. "We don't put up results online for such courses but for this particular batch, we wanted to simplify things," Suresh Nadagoudar, registrar (evaluation) told TOI.
