Police in Bulgaria say about 400 migrants have been detained after clashes with police at a refugee camp left several injured. Another 15 migrants have been arrested for damaging property.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov arrived at the camp in southern Bulgaria early Friday and said five of the detainees would immediately be deported as a threat to national security.

Borisov says the rest will be placed would be placed in locked reception centers.

Police say about 2,000 migrants were involved in the conflict that reportedly erupted Thursday over the camp being put under quarantine following an alleged outbreak of infectious diseases.

Migrants allegedly set fires and threw rocks at police, who responded with water cannons and rubber bullets.

Borisov says two dozen police officers and two refugees were injured.
