Narendra Modi cannot be trusted: Kapil Sibal

New Delhi, Nov 25: The opposition has been heavily lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his absence in Parliament. Yesterday, Modi did attend Rajya Sabha session until lunch but wasn’t found post lunch session which created an uproar. To whcih, Congress leader Kabil Sibal said that we have no faith in Prime Minister.

Speaking to the media Sibal said that the Prime Minister or his party cannot be trusted at all. “If Prime Minster speaks then it is outside the Parliament. Why does he not speak in Lok Sabha where they have majority? It is because Prime Minster is afraid of his own people,” the Congress leader said.

PM Modi in his today’s address on demonetisation said that because he didn’t allot time, black money holders could not hide their unaccounted wealth. Earlier, Kapil Sibal had said that demonetisation drive was implemented only to clear banks Non Performing Assets(NPAs).

Meanwhile, the Congress has stated that demonetisation is nothing but an organised ‘loot’ by the centre. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described demonetisation as mismanagement and said that it will weaken India’s economic growth and reduce GDP by at least two percent. Singh has claimed that 65 people have lost their lives in this drive and the government must do something to reduce distress in public
