Zain Imam enters Yeh Vaada Raha as the new male lead with Sonal Vengurlekar

Fans of Zain Imam aka Yuvraj Luthra of Tashan E Ishq have a reason to rejoice. The actor is back on the same channel as the new lead of Yeh Vaada Raha. The show just had a huge 15 year leap where male lead Survi that is Sonal Vengurlekar is shown dead. It is her daughter Khushi played by Sonal herself that will be now the lead of the show. Post leap, things have changed on the show with old faces making an exit and new actors playing fresh characters.

Ankush Arora has left the show post leap he was not comfortable playing a 50 year old. Instead of him, senior actor Siddharth will be playing Karthik. So, the show will now take off with Karthik and Survi's daughter journey. Zain will play the love interest of Khushi. From the initial cast only Rinku Karmarkar and Sonal have been retained while a new cast enters the show. Ashita Dhawan and Nasir will also be entering Yeh Vaada Raha.

Delhi-based Zain made his debut with MTV's popular show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. He went on to play the main lead in Zee TV's Tashan E Ishq with Jasmine Bhasin and Siddhant Gupta. Zain played a grey character in the show but was loved for his suave good looks and style. The show went off air recently and Zain headed to Delhi for a vacation. The makers of Yeh Vaada Raha wanted a youthful face to play the main lead and he fitted the bill. The actor has begun the shoot for the show. Yeh Vaada Raha started off as a Mumbai-based love story of two middle class kids Karthik and Survi. It was set in the backdrop of the underworld and was a passionate love story. The show had Roshni Walia playing the young Survi and was later replaced with Sonal Vengurkar. Ankush Arora meanwhile has left the show to pursue a career in music and wants to be a singer than an actor. Let's hope that Zain's entry brings in younger audiences to the theatres.
