INDORE: Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Thursday compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi with military dictator Adolf Hitler and claimed that lives of both leaders have 'several similarities'.
"If you read the history of Hitler and Modiji, you will see many similarities," Singh said while addressing media persons here.
The Congress leader lashed out at Modi government for demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes and said the BJP was trying to show that any person opposing Modi was anti-national.

"If you praise Modi, you are a nationalist; and if not, you become anti-national," he said.
"Out of the Rs 17 lakh crore in circulation in the country, 86 per cent are in Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations. How will the country survive if this amount of money is taken out of the system," Singh said.
"This is a big mistake in governance. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has described it as an economic blunder," he said.
On the BJP's claims that the move was aimed at curbing black money, he said, "No person with black money was seen in the queues at ATMs. No corporator, MP, MLA or IAS and IPS officer.. (were seen). For 1 to 5 per cent of people, why are 95 per cent citizens being harassed," he asked.
Digvijaya claimed that in the next six months the factories would close down as the industrialists will not have money to pay the workers. The government has not been able to replace cash.
The Congress general secretary also said that demonetisation will not be able to control terrorism. "Terrorists deal in Bitcoins. Each Bitcoin is worth 712 USD," he said while taking to media.
