Ensure people get benefits of govt plans: CM to collectors

JAIPUR: Addressing the inaugural session of Collectors-SP conference, chief minister Vasundhara Raje directed the collectors to play the role of a team leader in the task of effective implementation of government schemes and programmes.
The conference has been held just ahead of the state government’s plan to launch several campaigns to celebrate its third anniversary. The month-long campaign would be launched by Raje who will address a public rally in Bikaner on December 13 when the BJP government in the state completes three years.

During the conference, Raje and the state government will collect a feedback and review the status and implementation of its projects and programmes at the district level. A detailed list of the achievements of the past three years will also be prepared.
She directed them to work with the aim of bringing smiles on the common man’s face. She also advised the district collectors to ensure that people of state get proper benefit of the flagship schemes and innovations.
Raje was addressing the inaugural session of the Collector-SP Conference at the Convention Hall of CMO on Thursday. She asked administrative officers to increase communication and simplify the day-to-day Government-citizen interface.
On Thursday, Raje suggested a proper monitoring of flagship schemes and projects along with better implementation of the budget announcements. She directed that review meetings be held every week to assess the development.

She asked collectors to undertake tours of the work sites with departmental officers.
After receiving several complaints on the behaviour of government officials, Raje asked collectors and that their behaviour and style of functioning reflects the image of an administrative officer. She asked collectors to work with more promptness and remain vigilant to ensure that all the responsible officers reach the camps on time.
Chief minister also directed that efforts should be undertaken by collectors to ensure their districts are Open Defecation Free by March 2018. On day two of the conference, now collectors from nine districts will get the opportunity to present their achievements.
