Baby boy found abandoned
The infant was found outside a temple in Kathwada.
AHMEDABAD: A team of EMRI 108 rescued a newborn baby boy who was abandoned outside a temple near SP Ring Road in Kathwada, early on Thursday morning. The boy was taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Nikol police have registered a case of abandonment in the incident.
According to EMRI officials, passersby on the way from Kathwada towards Daskroi spotted the infant near Gota Maharaj temple and rai sed an alarm at about 8 am.They found the baby wrapped in a white cloth, on a platform of the temple.

“It was fortunate that the boy was not attacked by stray animals. It is possible that he might have been left at the temple early in the morning.Further probe is on,“ said an investigator.
This is the second incident of abandonment of a dent of abandonment of a newborn reported by city police in four days. On November 24, a baby girl of around 10 days age was found abandoned in Vastrapur. She has been kept in medical care at Sola Civil Hospital.
