Modi to visit Punjab's two cities on Friday

Chandigarh Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Bathinda and Anandpur Sahib on Friday in the north Indian Punjab state. Modi will lay the foundation stone for AIIMS in Bathinda and address a gathering, a party spokesman said here on Thursday. Later in the day, the PM will attend a function related to the 350th Parkash Utsav of 10th sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh at Kesargadh Sahib in Anandpur Sahib. Modi's Punjab visit is likely to set political temperature soaring in the state slated to go for polls early next year. (PTI)
