LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has warned of sealing the residential buildings in use for commercial purposes without permission from the authorities. As per the commercialisation policy of 2014, the properties situated along designated roads and in special zones, can be commercialised on a permanent basis. Properties situated in other areas can only be commercialised on an annual basis. The LDA has urged property owners who have already obtained the permission for commercialisation, to deposit their dues within 10 days. On their failure, properties will be sealed by the authorities. The authority has cautioned the public to be aware of impostors, disguised as LDA officers and harassing and extorting money from the public.
